Hello friends! As the title suggests, I’m in preparation mode for our upcoming trip to the south of France, which can’t come soon enough! It’s been a long six months since we traveled to Egypt (itinerary coming soon) at the end of February and I’m very ready for some rest, fresh views, continuous sunshine (not this gloomy, wishy-washy rainy weather we’ve had of late) and settling into a slower lifestyle for more than a day or two. I particularly can’t wait to stay in the Airbnb that I’ve booked for ten whole days that comes with a cute little courtyard garden (perfect for lounging). I don’t think I’ve stayed in the same place this long for years, so it will be a real treat to hammer the proverbial flag post into the ground, unpack, unwind and stay put for more than a week to read, leisurely visit the surrounding sights and villages, go for dips in the river and to cook fresh food bought from the nearby market. Bliss.

We finally finished Succession this week (what a plot twist); I started reading Gut: The Inside Story of Our Body's Most Underrated Organ by Guilia Enders, which I’ve had on my reading list for a while. I’m in a phase of wanting to learn a lot more about my body, so I can get back to some healthy habits and so far it’s fascinating and brilliantly written; I also started reading the summer edition of Konfekt magazine, which has fast become my new favorite lifestyle magazine and is giving me some lovely tips for another exciting upcoming trip that’s just been booked. But more on that next week.
