San Francisco with Substack
A visit to the head office; what I learnt, a few tips to help you with your Substack and why everyone should be here!
A quick reminder…If you’d like to gain FULL ACCESS to my archive of wardrobe, homeware and travel edits, including my Little Black Book of Paris addresses, a subscription works out at just €5 a month (instead of 6€) if you sign up to the yearly plan (that’s only 1.16€ a week — less than a croissant!)
Hello friends! It’s been a minute…I’ve been living out of a suitcase for most of July and I haven’t had the time to sit down and write. You might have noticed an update in my bio a few months ago, but for those who haven’t seen it, I’ve been working with Substack on a part-time basis (alongside interior design and content creation) to help launch the platform in France! It’s been an incredibly exciting and wild ride so far that culminated in a trip to San Francisco this month, to spend some time in the head office and meet the rest of the team!
Unfortunately I was struck down with a nasty cold that lasted the entire week - my first in five years that I can only attribute to hours spent sat inside an icebox, aka the connecting flight from Boston to San Diego (I took the opportunity to visit family the weekend before), on very little sleep, and then going from 25 degree heat in San Diego, into heavily air-conditioned cars, whilst wearing summer dresses… I hate aircon, sorry American readers, but I think it should be banned. Luckily America does good drugs and I spent the week dosed up on a concoction of DayQuil, paracetamol, sore throat lozenges and sugar (America also does good sweets).
With busy work days and not feeling my best (a fuzzy head doesn’t help productivity), I didn’t have much time to explore the city (or write any newsletters for that matter), I did however manage to pack in
